Our Veterinarians

Meet the folks who make it all happen. We see big potential in every moment, & care deeply about what we do every day.

Dr. Naseer Malik

Dr. Naseer Malik

Veterinarian /Owner

Growing up in a small Pakistani village where formal veterinary care was nonexistent, Dr. Malik’s connection to animal medicine began with a local healer who treated the community’s livestock. As a child, he vividly remembers the morning his prized rooster fell ill, and how he cradled the bird, willing it to eat again. Though the rooster ultimately succumbed to the illness, the experience planted the seeds of compassion and healing that would define Dr. Malik’s future. When his family moved to the twin cities of Rawalpindi-Islamabad, he carried these formative experiences with him, eventually leading him to pursue veterinary medicine.

After completing his veterinary education at a university in Lahore, Dr. Malik developed a practice focused on surgical excellence while maintaining the holistic approach of a general practitioner. His skilled hands perform nearly all types of surgeries, with a particular fondness for challenging dental procedures and dermatological cases.

Drawing on his comprehensive training, Dr. Malik has cultivated special interests in immunology, preventive medicine, and innovative laser therapies. This blend of surgical precision and medical knowledge culminated in his proudest professional achievement—purchasing Grove Center Veterinary Hospital on January 1, 2024, where he continues to expand his vision for compassionate, exceptional animal medical care.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Malik’s life centers around his beloved cat Ruby, who demands treats with an adorable paw tap and insists on egg and cheese for breakfast, but only when served in the crook of Dr. Malik’s elbow. Though the adventures from his younger days have given way to quieter pursuits, Dr. Malik still finds joy in watching Indian films, browsing the internet, and spending quality time with family and friends. As the youngest of three siblings, his journey from village animal helper to veterinary hospital owner reflects a lifelong dedication to healing that continues to evolve with each furry patient who walks through Grove Center’s doors.

Hamid Mian

Hamid Mian

Veterinary Technician

From herding sheep alongside his faithful dog Moti in rural Pakistan to becoming Grove Center Veterinary Hospital’s newest veterinary technician, Mian’s journey is as colorful as his personality. Having joined our practice in September of 2024, he brings a unique blend of international veterinary education and business management expertise that makes him an invaluable member of the team. Growing up in a farming family surrounded by livestock ignited Mian’s passion for animal care – a flame that continues to burn brightly in everything he does.

Behind Mian’s gentle approach lies a story of determination and purpose. After Moti’s passing from what he now recognizes was likely a testicular tumor, Mian committed himself to preventing similar heartbreak for other families. This dedication led him from his small hometown to veterinary school in Lahore, where his fascination with infectious diseases and preventive medicine flourished. Now pursuing North American licensure while applying his master’s in veterinary microbiology, Mian approaches each case with precision and empathy.

When not wearing his scrubs, Mian is the proud patriarch of a bustling household that includes his wife, three children, a new grandchild, and Cosmo – the cuddly rescue cat who has claimed both the couch and everyone’s hearts. An avid traveler with endless stories from his journey through five European countries in ten days (including getting lost in a Swiss village), Mian brings the same adventurous spirit to our practice.

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
